Dr. Carol Falck, VMD
Dr. Falck began her professional career as a marine biologist. After a 2-year research project in the Red Sea, her interests evolved into a desire to work with animals in a clinical setting. She received her Veterinary Medical Doctor (V.M.D.) degree in 1997 from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine.
Following a one year internship in medicine and surgery at Friendship Hospital For Animals in Washington, D.C., she relocated to south Florida.
While working a conventional practice, Dr. Falck was presented with a cat Saki in end-stage kidney failure. As she was researching methods to help Saki recover, she was steered toward alternative methods of healing. Dr. Falck became a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist in 2001 and Traditional Chinese Veterinary Herbalist in 2003.
Now residing in Georgia, her mobile veterinary practice, Petwise emphasizes an integrative approach to animal wellness. Dr. Falck enjoys living & hiking in the beautiful mountains of Northeast Georgia, near the Appalachian Trail. When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and dogs, practicing Tai Chi, yoga and playing guitar.
